Count more than bedrooms
List the main kitchen, secondary kitchen, occupied bathrooms, bedrooms, offices, guest suites and finished lower levels. Add hallways, stairs, landings and entrances. Identify rooms that will be closed or excluded; floor area alone does not define the work.
Choose maintenance and first-visit detail separately
Weekly and biweekly visits can help maintain frequently used spaces. A first clean may require extra time for existing buildup. Ask for first-visit detail and ongoing tasks to be distinguished, with appliance interiors and linen changes itemized when requested.
Give special finishes their own instructions
Mention natural stone, specialty wood, coated fixtures and other surfaces with manufacturer care requirements. Product suitability must be discussed before cleaning. High ledges, tall fixtures, heavy furnishings and unsafe reach are not included by assumption.
Plan around life inside the home
Tell us about work-from-home calls, pets, guest rooms and areas that must remain usable. Discuss available arrival windows and access privately. The estimate request is not a confirmed appointment.
Compare equivalent quotes
Use the same room list, levels, frequency, extras and initial condition for every comparison. Review visit pricing, billing, initial service term, cancellation notice and the process for raising a service concern before agreeing to a plan.
